ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA GAMBAR PERINGATAN BAHAYA MEROKOK PADA SEMUA KEMASAN ROKOK DI INDONESIA

Abstract

The phenomenon of the dangers of smoking to health and the ever increasing number of smokers each year, the Government gave a warning in the form of images on cigarette packs. Enactment of five pictures warning of the dangers of smoking, chosen because it is considered the most effective way to suppress the purchase of cigarettes and tell the impact of the disease caused by smoking. This study is a semiotic analysis is based on logic, because logic is studying how the reasoning, while the reasoning according to Peirce conducted through the signs. The signs allow us to think, relate to others and give meaning to what is displayed by the universe. We have wide possibilities in the diversity of signs, and among linguistic signs is a category that is important, but not the only one category. Sign according to Peirce consisting of symbol (mark arising from the deal), icons (signs emerging from the physical representation) and index (mark that appears on the cause-effect relationships).
