Abstract

How great and how attractive a radio program was maded, but when the announcer can’t brought it well, then the audience won’t be attracted to listening those radio. So then, an announcer credibility can’t be denied and has to be keep. If an announcer never try to reach a credibility, so the audience will never trust everything they had been said. The purpose of this research is to examine a Bincang Pagi announcer credibility to collect the audience proclivity at Sangkakala AM Radio Surabaya also to analyze what factor which attract the audience proclivity on those program. With subject research are the announcer, the audience, program supervisor, and also Sangkakala AM General Manager. This research using a Interpersonal Communication – Credibility Theory by James Mc-Croskey, in spite of communication which made in radio as mass communication, but the appearance to the communication style in the radio should be a personal communication which consider the audience as a close friend. From those research, we had a conclusion that the announcer Sangkakala AM Radio are have a credibility. This can prove by Bincang Pagi program by Sangkakala AM Radio which the audience love it so much, not only because the announcer had a credibility, but also how variety the source of those program, and the main topic are loved by the audience, especially a topic around family and healthy. And the suggest for Sangkakala AM Radio are to made a workshop to the train the announcer for being more productive and creative, also inovative in duty and also able to defend their capability in the audience view.
