IMPLEMENTASI KEBIJAKAN PERATURAN DAERAH NOMOR 6 TAHUN 2002 TENTANG PENGUJIAN KENDARAAN BERMOTOR DI DINAS PERHUBUNGAN KOTA SURABAYA

Abstract

The role of transportation in today's society is very important. Seeing the importance of the role, the government issued a policy of motor vehicle testing as part of efforts to make the protection and preservation of road safety air. With the Regional Regulation No. 6 of 2002 on Motor Vehicle Testing is expected to be the solution to the problems of road safety and air pollution. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of Regional Regulation No. 6 of 2002 on testing of motor vehicles in UPTD PKB Wiyung, Surabaya. In this study, researchers used a qualitative approach. While data collection techniques the author uses in-depth interviews and documentary studies. Furthermore, the data that have been obtained will be analyzed with three streams of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The drawback of this implementation is the lack of socialization to increase public awareness, lack of commitment from the superintendent on the highway, and manage the implementation of the SOP only pre - test and test only. Suggestions that need socialization sobriety tests mandatory, in service to consumers is expected to be improved for the sake of customer satisfaction with the services of motor vehicle testing, there needs to be a commitment on the part of supervisors, and standard operating procedures that need to be done after the test set
