Abstract

BAKOHUMAS Sidoarjo has an important role in disseminating information and communication in
serving public complaints on social media. The purpose of this research is to find out how the
communication strategy of BAKOHUMAS Sidoarjo in serving public complaints through social
media..The research methods are used using qualitative descriptive research types. Using data
collection techniques, researchers perform observations, interviews and document data. With the
Informan interviewed is the Staff management information and public communications BAKOHUMAS
Sidoarjo.The results of this research can be concluded that: communication strategy BAKOHUMAS
Sidoarjo in serving complaints MDI overcoming complaints from society through social media. Through
social media, it is able to handle public complaints on social media quickly, precisely, and in an actual
manner. Using an informative and educative method of communication strategy can handle community
complaints on social media effectively and a persuasive method can encourage people to resolve
complaints and also mobilize and coordinate government agencies to be faster in addressing complaints
from the community through social media
