Abstract

The research is titled “Public Relations Communication Audit Culture and Tourism Office of East
Java Province in order to improve two-way communication with the public”. Public Relations
communication audit is a complete analysis of the communication carried out by the public relations
with the internal and external public. The purpose of this research is to review and analyze the two-way
communication process between public relations with internal and external public. This research used
descriptive qualitative method. The dimensions that support this research include the process of
delivering messages, the clarity of the meaning of messages, communication models, communication
media, timeline of communication, frequency of communication, communication styles and feedback.
Data collection techiques carried out by interviewing public relations, internal public and external
public institutions. Data analytics technique is done by data collection techniques, data reduction, data
presentation, drawing conclusions from Miles and Huberman. Samples taken from the internal public
amounted to 10 people who are employees, while the external public amounted 13 people who are
society. The results of a public relations communication audit indicate how public relations builds twoway
communication with their public. Internal and external public feedback shows a positive response to
communications made by public relations, which means that the two-way communication done by public
relations is good enough.
