AKTIVITAS HUMAS DALAM MENSOSIALISASIKAN K3 (KESELAMATAN DAN KESEHATAN KERJA) DI PT. SIER

Abstract

This study aims to determine public relations activities in socializing Occupational Safety and
Health (K3) conducted by Public Relations of PT.SIER (Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut) to
employees. This research including descriptive qualitative research is a type of research conducted by
using interviews to examine and understand the attitudes, views, feelings, and behavior of individuals or
groups of people. The research subjects were Public Relations PT. SIER (Surabaya Industrial Estate
Rungkut) and employees in the K3 function at PT. SIER (Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut). Data
collection techniques carried out in this study through interviews, observation, and documentation. The
data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative with interactive analysis consisting of three
stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that there
were five public relations activities of PT. SIER (Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut) in socializing
Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in the company, namely public relations as communicators in
promoting work safety, public relations as communicators in socializing occupational health, public
relations building relationships, forms of Back Up Public Relations to management, and public relations
to create positive images and publications through socialization of Occupational Health and Safety (K3)
activities. Regular socialization activities are carried out by PR within a period of every three months,
including training on fire fighting simulation. In addition, public relations also uses posters, banners,
internal magazines, wall magazines, social media in the form of twitter, and Instagram as a means to
assist the process of socialization of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in PT.SIER (Surabaya
Industrial Estate Rungkut).
