PERAN HUMAS DALAM MEMPERTAHANKAN REPUTASI KAWASAN SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA NEGERI 22 DI SURABAYA

Abstract

Public relations is a management function that assesses public attitudes, identifies policies and organizational procedures for the benefit of the public, and plans an activity and communication program to gain understanding and public support. State Junior High School 22 Surabaya is a school directly appointed by the Ministry of Education and Culture as a school area in Surabaya, public relations or public relations appointed directly by the principal as a party to play a role in maintaining the reputation of favorite schools in Surabaya.Research type used is descriptive with qualitative approach. The subject of this research is public relations SMPN 22 Surabaya.The technique of data collection was carried out by the use of in-depth interviews and observation. Data analysis that was done with get understanding from the focus of writing then would be drawn a conclusion in the form of general understanding of fact. The results of this study indicate that the role of public relations or public relations in maintaining the reputation of regional schools in Surabaya is very important to plan activities in a structured and encourage teachers or school tools in conducting activities that support the reputation of school areas.
