Abstract

Village autonomy is built on the initial assumption that every village community has different interests and needs in accordance with its environmental conditions. Therefore, community participation in every process of village development is one of the absolute requirements that must exist, so that the interests and needs of the community can be touched as a whole. This study aims to find out how to increase public participation in village development, especially KramatJegu village and Trosobo village, Taman Sidoarjo district. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Acquisition of data is done through field study and literature study. Field studies were conducted through observation, and interviews while literature studies were conducted through various litelatur data as support.The results showed that community participation in development, especially in the village of Kramatjegu into the low category while for the Village Trosobo into the category of being. For the factors influencing it consists of internal factors and external factors. Factors of income (external factors) do not affect the level of community participation, but only affect the form of community participation. Based on the research results obtained, so to increase community participation in rural development in districtTaman Sidoarjodistrict., the government should seek various ways to create the factors mentioned above. To reach an autonomous village, the village government of KramatJegu and Trosobo village and the village community should be able to establish a synergistic relationship for village development
