Abstract

water is a necesscity that can not be saparated from daily needs. in this case the agency that manages clean water is a PDAM which is one of the regional owned business unit engaged in the distribution of clean water for the community. PDAM one of them is located in Surabaya City. With the increasing need for clean water, PDAM Surabaya has made various innovations to keep increasing the number of customers and to improve the excellent service to the community in installing new house connections. With the One Day Service program, the community will be faster and easier to install new home connections because within 24 hours after making payment, PDAM Surabaya will install new house connection. Therefore, researchers want to describe how the effectiveness of One Day Service program in PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya. This research uses descriptive research method with qualitative approach. Technique of taking data in this research is done through interview, observation, and documentation. The results of the research have shown that the effectiveness of One Day Service program in PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya City is not effective enough. It is said not effective because in the service program there are still many obstacles that must be fixed. In addition, the need to socialize the program to the community and should continue to improve the existing constraints so that the program can run more effectively in accordance with the intended purpose.
