STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI POLITIK HUMAS KPU KOTA SURABAYA DALAM SOSIALISASI PEMILIH PADA PEMILIHAN PRESIDEN TAHUN 2014 GUNA MEMINIMALISIR GOLPUT

Abstract

General elections in this era are still considered as the spear of democracy in Indonesia. Every citizen have to give their vote as a support to implementation of Indonesian system which opened. But the rise of abstain on every elections had indicate that there is something lost from that democracy begin from the trust until the awareness about the importance to give vote privilege. In accordance with Law (undang-undang) no. 15 of 2011 about the organizers arrangement of election are carried out under the supervision of the general election commission or KPU which have an characteristic of national, permanent, and independent. The purpose of this research is to know how's the strategy of political communication of public relations KPU in socialization peoples to minimize abstains. This research was used qualitative approach. The primary data that obtained from interview with KPU official. The result of these research had explained that strategy KPU Surabaya with using method BRIDGE (Building Resources In Democracy Governance and Elections) had gave many positive benefits and opportunities to success general elections 2014. That method was capable to touch in the all level of people such as a young peoples, communities, and minority groups in Surabaya.
